Much has changed since the founding of our manufactory in 1919. Today, we supply Döttling safes to exceptional enthusiasts around the world. In addition to the restoration of antique safes, we have added our own, luxurious innovations to our product range.

History

1919 - Ernst Döttling, Markus Döttling's great-grandfather, lays cornerstone for the company's current success by founding the Döttling locksmith shop in Sindelfingen.

1945 - From 1945 to 1977 Markus Döttling's grandfather, Willy Döttling, carried on the successful business.

1965 - Markus Döttling's father, Wolfgang Döttling, personifies the company's third generation. He still stands by his son with his expertise and skill.

1997 - Markus Döttling enters his father's business with great enthusiasm.

2007 - Markus Döttling and his business partner Rudolf Rincklake van Endert respond to the worldwide interest in Döttling safes and found Döttling GmbH.

2010 - Andreas K. Schlittenhardt joins the firm as the new managing partner and associate of Markus Döttling.

2011 - Today our locksmiths and security experts still work passionately on all types of safes and security furniture, just as they did in the early days. Even today, the golden key above the doorway to the parent company testifies to its lasting tradition of finest German craftsmanship.
