In 1860 Louis-Ulysse Chopard first founded his own watchmaking company in the small farming village of Sonvilier, on the road from St. Imier to La Chaux-de-Fonds. Since then, the name of Chopard has earned an outstanding reputation for luxurious watches, from extra flat to highly complicated. In the company's history of more than 130 years much has happen which is worth resurrecting.
